A dynamic force in the Hoboken real estate market for nearly 10 years, Renée Condon specializes in listing and selling upper-tier single and multi-family homes, and luxury condominiums. “My ultimate goal,” she says, “is to deliver superior service with intelligence, honesty, knowledge and hard-earned trust.” Her ranking among the top realtors in New Jersey, and the loyalty of her many repeat clients, attest to her success in satisfying the needs of a very savvy clientele in an ever-changing market.
The statistics are impressive. Renée has earned the NJAR Circle of Excellence award every year since 2004, achieving Platinum or Gold status during some of the toughest markets in recent memory. In 2011, Renee was honored with the prestigious Five Star Realtor award, voted by buyers and sellers, and awarded to only 2% of the state’s agents, and she has been nominated again in 2012. To date, she has sold over $150 million dollars worth of real estate, and she has abundant experience and knowledge which comes with that.
But numbers tell only so much about a person. “It’s thrilling to receive industry recognition, but I’m proudest of the number of customers who are referred to me by past clients. The referrals validate my work and my mission to provide nothing less than my clients expect.” Renée believes that her attention to detail and her ability to grasp the nuances of the particular deal resonate with clients who are accustomed to a high level of service.
Renee joined the real estate profession after a 17-year career In the music industry, where she managed such talent as Talking Heads, Debbie Harry, Deee-Lite and Luna. “I chose real estate,” she explains, “to be closer to home and my husband and children, and as a way to connect more deeply with my community. The music and real estate industries share many aspects: we work with a myriad of personalities; constantly shifting contexts and complexities, and we’re constantly managing multiple tasks and projects. To be successful in either industry requires discretion, diplomacy and keen negotiating skills to get clients to the table and keep them there. It is extremely gratifying to close a transaction and know that you’ve had a part in getting your clients their home.”
Renée has maintained her professional edge through continuing education and development. Though the course work is important, Renee believes that mentoring and collaborating with other realtors can offer practical lessons in the complexities of real estate transactions. “I learn so much from my colleagues; they help me in my quest to be continually on top of the market.” Another step is her recent move to Keller Williams Realty, a national forward-thinking company with over 700 offices and growing, and her association with Keller Williams Luxury Homes, which adds increased international exposure, important asset for her premier clients and their properties. “Collectively, we’re a sophisticated group exceeding the standards of service in the high-end market. It’s about skills, values and resources.”
Beyond her career, Renee continues her hectic pace with her two children and her husband, as well as following her intellectual and creative curiosity. “My interests range from architecture, art and interior design, food and wine to music, books, tennis and yoga.” At the heart of her endeavors is the social aspect. “I love meeting new people and making a connection.” Renee has expanded her market to include Ridgewood and neighboring Bergen County towns.
